About Us

What began as a small group of students interested in non-profit in 1980, the Social Enterprise Club (SEC) at Harvard Business School has since grown into one of the school’s largest Student Clubs with over 400 members. Today, the SEC forms a community of like-minded students that believe in using business solutions to solve the world’s pressing problems. Our members have diverse interests within social enterprise, including the for-profit, non-profit and public sectors. Members plan to engage with social enterprise on many levels, ranging from students who plan to develop careers in social enterprise to students who simply want to be engaged in the latest social enterprise thought leadership.

Our Interest Groups encapsulate a broad array of socially-minded themes:

  • Education
  • International Development
  • Shared Value Business
  • Social Finance

Club members may sign up for as many Interest Groups as they would like. Interest Groups give club members access to weekly notices on speakers, networking events, career opportunities, field study opportunities and industry news.

The club is always open to creating additional interest groups based on student interest.
